Collector FAQ · Fine Art Photography on Aluminum Dibond
The Collection
What types of art pieces do you offer?
Straight To Point offers a curated selection of fine art photography printed on premium Aluminum Dibond aluminum composite. Our collection captures the architectural and natural beauty of America's most iconic locations — including New York City landmarks and bridges, coastal landscapes from Cape Canaveral to Miami, the seasonal beauty of the Hudson Valley, and urban gardens and natural moments within cityscapes.
Each location is chosen for its timeless significance. Works are available in multiple sizes, suited for sophisticated indoor spaces and sheltered outdoor environments.
Why do the product images have a watermark?
All images displayed on our website carry a Straight To Point watermark for copyright protection. The watermark is never present on your purchased artwork. Every piece ships clean, unbranded, and ready to display.
The Edition
Is this a limited edition?
Yes. Every work in our collection is released as a strictly limited edition. The total number of prints per image and size is fixed at release and tracked in our edition registry. Once an edition sells out, that image is never reprinted in that size or format — this is a firm policy, not a marketing claim.
How many are in the edition?
Edition sizes vary by image and are listed on each individual product page. Once set, the edition size never changes. We do not expand editions after release.
What happens when an edition sells out?
The image is permanently retired in that size and format. Availability is updated in real time on each product page.
The Print
What material is it printed on?
Each work is printed directly onto Aluminum Dibond (Alu-Dibond), a premium aluminum composite material used in museum and gallery installations worldwide. Our prints are produced at a certified fine art facility using state-of-the-art direct-to-substrate technology. This delivers:
• Vivid, luminous color with a matte finish
• Exceptional rigidity without the weight of glass-framed work
• UV stability — photo prints are certified for up to 75 years of brilliant color
• Water-resistant and durable, with no condensation issues
• No protective glazing required — UV protection is built into the print
Why Aluminum Dibond instead of a traditional framed print?
Aluminum Dibond provides a clean, contemporary presentation without glass, matting, or a traditional frame. The rigid aluminum composite panel gives the artwork structural stability, while direct-to-substrate printing produces a crisp, luminous image with a sleek matte finish. The result is a gallery-style presentation designed for modern interiors and sheltered architectural spaces — with none of the maintenance concerns of glass or paper.
How is it mounted?
Each piece arrives with two horizontal hanging rails pre-attached to the back of the panel — ready to hang with two screws (one per rail). No additional framing is required.
Installation tip: Always use both screws — one per rail — for secure, level hanging.
What sizes are available?
Available sizes vary by image and are listed on each individual product page. For questions about custom sizing, contact us at straighttopointnyc@gmail.com.
Authentication & Documentation
How can I verify the authenticity of my artwork?
Authenticity at Straight To Point operates on two levels:
Edition authenticity — your purchase is recorded in our internal edition registry, which tracks the image title, edition size, and number of prints sold. This registry is how we enforce the edition limit and ensure no image is reprinted once sold out.
Print quality — each order ships with a Seal of Quality from our production facility, certifying the artwork was produced using state-of-the-art printing technology, premium materials, and a six-step final inspection process.
These are two distinct guarantees: one establishes that your piece is an authorized Straight To Point edition; the other certifies the physical quality of the print itself.
For authentication questions about a specific work, contact us at straighttopointnyc@gmail.com.
What documentation is included with my purchase?
Every order ships directly from our production facility and includes:
• Seal of Quality — certifies the artwork was produced using state-of-the-art printing technology, premium materials, and a six-step final inspection. Photo prints are certified for up to 75 years of brilliant color and are backed by a 5-year guarantee.
• Care instructions — display guidance, cleaning instructions, hanging requirements, and a QR code linking to full digital care documentation.
Display & Care
Can it be displayed outdoors?
Yes, in sheltered outdoor environments. Aluminum Dibond prints are water-resistant and perform well on covered patios, loggias, protected entryways, and architectural overhangs. We do not recommend placement where the piece would be exposed to direct rain or extreme weather.
How do I care for my print?
Aluminum Dibond is virtually maintenance-free:
• Wipe gently with a dry microfiber cloth only
• Do not use abrasive cleaners, chemicals, or wet cloths
• Avoid prolonged direct sunlight to preserve color over time
A QR code included with your order links to full care instructions specific to your piece.
Ordering & Shipping
Where do you ship?
We currently ship to the United States and Canada. Additional countries are planned. For inquiries about other destinations, contact us at straighttopointnyc@gmail.com.
Is shipping included?
Yes. Shipping is free to the United States and Canada, and import duties are covered. Sales tax, where applicable, is the customer's responsibility.
How long does it take to produce and deliver?
Each piece is produced to order at our certified fine art printing facility. Please allow approximately 5–10 business days from purchase to delivery, covering production, a six-step quality inspection, and shipping. Because these are not mass-produced items pulled from inventory, production time reflects the care taken with each individual print.
How is it packaged?
Each piece is packed in secure, art-safe packaging specifically designed for rigid panel prints and ships directly from our production facility to your door.
Returns & Damaged Items
What is your return policy?
All sales are final. Because each work is made to order as a limited edition, we do not accept returns or exchanges for change of mind. Damaged or defective items are handled separately; see the next answer and our Refund Policy.
What should I do if my item arrives damaged?
Upon receiving your order, please inspect it immediately. If the item is defective or damaged, contact us right away at straighttopointnyc@gmail.com so we can evaluate the issue and take appropriate action. Do not discard the original packaging — it may be needed for the return or claim process.
How do I initiate a return for a damaged item?
Contact us at straighttopointnyc@gmail.com with photos of the damage and your order details. Once your return is accepted, we will provide you with a return shipping label and full instructions on how to send your package back. You will not be responsible for return shipping costs on damaged or defective items.
